Climate Carolling - at any time of year!

Back in November of 2023, a group of Friends of the Earth supporters and staff took to Grafton Street in Dublin City on the busiest Christmas shopping day of the year to raise awareness and funds for climate justice. It was also the COP28 Day of Action, a perfect moment to get together in action.

This event inspired BOLD Climate Action, a group of older climate activists, to keep the climate choir going and later organised to sing and fundraise at Bealtaine Festival. They still meet regularly to sing for climate action together.

More and more people are taking climate action to their choirs! We’d love to support you in your efforts to bring awareness to climate justice and to raise much needed funds with your choir to support our work at Friends of the Earth.

Step-by-Step: How to Get Started

  1. Set up your online fundraiser – This helps us cheer you on and support you.
Use platforms like iDonate or Give2You to make collecting funds a breeze. If you decide to collect cash on the day, let us know and we can help you send in your funds.
  2. Check out our Fundraising Guidelines – Read them here to keep everything smooth and safe.
  3. Spread the word – Share it online, make a poster, text a friend.
  4. Enjoy your event! – Take photos, celebrate the moment.
  5. Report back - let us know how you got on so we can celebrate your effort with you!
