Cold Water Dips

Take the Plunge for our Planet!

At Friends of the Earth, we are big fans of cold water dips as it’s a great way to gather with our community, reconnect with nature and revitalise ourselves. It’s also a great fundraising challenge!

From summer solstice sunrise dips to the depth of winter cold water plunges, you can take on this challenge at any time of year.

Just be sure to dip responsibly only when safe to do so and don’t stay in cold water too long.

Step-by-Step: How to Get Started

  1. Set up your online fundraiser – This helps us cheer you on and support you.
Use platforms like iDonate or Give2You to make collecting funds a breeze. If you decide to collect cash on the day, let us know and we can help you send in your funds.
  2. Check out our Fundraising Guidelines – Read them here to keep everything smooth and safe.
  3. Spread the word – Share it online, make a poster, text a friend.
  4. Enjoy your event! – Take photos, celebrate the moment.
  5. Report back - let us know how you got on so we can celebrate your effort with you!
