These lovely postcards will be a creative way to let the politicians know why you support the call for a moratorium on data centres.

Why does this matter? 

The energy guzzling data centres that our country is home to risk locking us into using dirty, polluting fossil fuels for years to come - as well as substantially increasing the challenges of meeting our legally binding climate targets. Data centres are already gobbling up 18% of Ireland’s electricity, and are projected to take up 30% of our current grid capacity by 2030 if their growth continues. Ireland is already home to 25% of Europe’s data centre market - the consequences of this on our environment, our climate goals and our ability to achieve a just energy transition are massive!

Here's how you can take part and have an impact!

• Send a donation and make sure to send us your address. Your donation helps us to cover the cost of printing and our wider work in fighting fossil fuel infrastructure in Ireland.
• As a thank you - we’ll send you a postcard pack, designed by our supporters, that highlight the dangers of data centres.
• When you receive your postcards, write a short message to each of the three decision makers of your choice on your reasons for supporting a moratorium - and post them off!
