Our next webinar in the series is 'Five Years of Climate Law: Is Ireland Ready to Lead Europe?'

When: Wednesday, July 15, 6-7pm 

Speakers: Deirdre Duffy, CEO, Friends of the Earth; Jerry Mac Evilly, Head of Policy Change, Friends of the Earth; Sara Hurley, Coordinator, Stop Climate Chaos (SCC); and others from the SCC Coalition. 

What: As we near the five-year anniversary of the Climate Law in Ireland, we’ll be looking back and reflecting on the progress so far. The Climate Law - arguably the strongest legal mechanism we have to tackle the climate crisis - provides the framework for Ireland to meet its international and EU climate commitments and to become a leader in addressing climate change.

As Ireland takes up the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, our webinar will also explore what opportunities this offers in the context of the implementation of the Climate Law. We’ll also be looking at key climate moments between now and the end of the year, and opportunities for people to take action.

Second webinar in the series, held on July 1: Another Energy System Is Possible: Saying no to LNG in Ireland.
