Smock Alley theatre 7pm on Saturday November 12th

We all know that laughing is good for us! It can be easy to get bogged down and let the worry of climate breakdown overcome us. It’s so important to let loose and let go every once in a while to help us keep going in our campaigning and activism.

So join us - for a laugh - on November 12th at Smock Alley theatre for Irish comedian Colm O’Regan’s new comedy show ‘Climate Worrier’! The show kicks off at 7pm and will be followed by a discussion with Colm and other special guests.

In a recent interview with Green News, Colm spoke about his show as being his way of contributing to the climate movement - he not only wants to make people laugh, he wants to inspire and activate people into doing something to help solve the crisis too. Colm also has a new book out of the same title ‘Climate Worrier’ which I’m sure he’ll tell us more about on the night.

If you have some friends that are curious about climate action, this could be the perfect event to bring them to!

cw_coverEarlier on the same day (12th November) we’ll be gathering at the Famine Memorial in Dublin’s North Dock for a photo opp in solidarity with climate vulnerable countries. We'll be using the photo to call on the Irish Government to show climate leadership and global solidarity at the COP27 UN Climate Talks. We’ll be organising the photo with the Stop Climate Chaos coalition - to mark the global day of action for climate justice during COP27. More information and timelines on this to follow so keep an eye on your emails!

And after the show we invite you to stick around for a drink in the Smock Alley bar. Why not make a whole day of it and join us in Dublin for this gathering!

It’s been too long since we all came together so this should be a really special event for our growing community.

We really hope you can make it to either the photo stunt or the show - if not both!
