Friends of the Earth has an exciting new initiative to promote climate conversations and raise some vital funds to support our work. It’s called “Cuppa for Climate!”

We’ll be launching this initiative at an event in Bewley’s Café to celebrate Earth Day - which is also our birthday. Come along to this Earth Day event to experience what a Cuppa for Climate is all about!

It’s also a great way to raise funds to support our work

Community fundraising, where you take on a challenge or host an event like this and invite your friends to donate to a cause you care about, is a really valuable way of contributing to climate action.

To help kick things off, we’re giving away a free Friends of the Earth KeepCup to the first 10 people that sign up to host a Cuppa for Climate in their community!

Planning and hosting a Cuppa for Climate is simple, and you don’t need to be an expert on climate to take part. All you need is a suitable location, a group of friends and some refreshments. Everything else is covered in our handy toolkit that you can simply download and print from our website.

If you’d rather not fundraise - you are still more than welcome to host a Cuppa for Climate!

Talking about the climate crisis is a really effective way of taking action on climate. We now know that the vast majority of people in Ireland are aware, informed and concerned about the climate crisis. But still - there is a gap between the level of action needed and the scale of the problem.

We need everybody to do their bit, and everyone has their own unique climate action to bring to the movement. Perhaps your action is hosting a Cuppa for Climate!

Although we are launching on Earth Day, you can host your Cuppa for Climate any day that suits you - because, every day is earth day!

And don’t forget, we’re here to support you every step of the way. So if you need help, just get in touch.
