How did the latest IPCC climate warning make you feel?

It's think it’s fair to say that it triggered feelings of fear, anxiety and even anger among the team at Friends of the Earth. But many of us also felt that it reinforced the importance of our work - and that getting involved in action to address the climate crisis made us feel better. Hopeful even.

20220616_130219We want to share the feeling of hope that action brings with the entire Friends of the Earth community. That’s why we’re organizing a webinar aimed specifically at bringing people up to speed with our different campaigns. It will take place on 3rd April, from 18.30 to 20.00.

This webinar will focus on highlighting how you can get involved in each of our campaigns - from quick and easy actions to deeper involvement. You might choose to get involved in just one of our campaigns or pick a few - the choice is yours!

People power is the key to success for all of our campaigns. Without people like you our campaigning would be powerless - our demands easily ignored. But when we campaign together we grow in strength - becoming a force that can no longer be discounted.

Will you join us to learn how you can add crucial power to our campaigns?

Our webinar on 3rd April will give you a chance to learn a bit more about our campaigns...

From ending energy poverty and taking fossil fuels out of homes - to opposing new gas plants and data centres. We’ll update you on our climate campaign -  looking at how we can push the Government to implement the climate action measures it has now promised.

We’ll talk about our Solar Schools project - sharing what you can do to get solar panels on every school in Ireland. And we’ll discuss how you can take action in solidarity with climate justice campaigners across the globe.

So are you in?

Our hope is that people come away from this event feeling inspired and empowered to take action either individually or in their local communities. That you’ll become part of the growing movement for climate justice in Ireland!

20220616_140330As the recent IPCC report reminded us, we need nothing less than urgent action and deep change to reduce emissions and limit global warming. In Friends of the Earth we believe this action needs to be fast and fair, with no one left behind. And we need it at every level - from local council level to national policy and beyond.

Join us on April 3rd to learn how you can be part of creating a fairer world where people and nature thrive!
