An important moment for our data centre campaign

Next Monday 8th September,  a motion to be voted on by South Dublin County Council

If passed it would mandate the council to write to the Minister of Climate and request a national moratorium on Data Centre expansion.

While it is heavily symbolic it is a really useful opportunity for community engagement and campaigning on the issue, especially since SDCC is one of the data centre capitals of the world at this stage and expanding. It's also the site of the Microsoft data centre which we know now is hosting data for Israel's military.
