BOLD Climate Action made great progress in 2024/25 in building older people’s role and voice in promoting fair and fast climate action.

Our next session will be on the morning of Thursday May 29th from 10:30am-1pm in the MACRO Community Centre, Dublin.

BOLD Climate Action is committed to building older people’s role in driving political change on climate action in Ireland.

This Dialogue and Action session will focus on the resources and supports available for making your home warmer, particularly in winter time. There will be an emphasis on ways to allow older people to comfortably remain in their homes as long as possible.

This information session, ‘Pathways to Warmer Homes’, will feature lots of interesting and useful information, tips and links to resources.

We’ll have some really interesting speakers joining us -

  • Eimear McCormack from Healthy Age Friendly Homes
  • Evelyn Burns from The Energy Team will describe their work with Sustainable Energy Communities
  • Peter O’Carroll from BOLD will talk about a local project in Meath

There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions – and we’ll talk about how making our homes more comfortable can also contribute to climate action.

When:  Thursday 29th May from 10:30am - 1pm

Where: MACRO, 1 Green St, Dublin 7, D07 X6NR

Light refreshments will be provided.

** Please don’t forget to fill in the more detailed form you’ll receive by email after registering. This will provide the necessary details for organisers for food preferences and other accessibility needs.
